Ancient Rome + Vatican tour

Your private visit of the most spectacular monuments of Ancient Rome starts at Coliseum,  one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering, continues through  the ruins of Roman forum, the centre of Roman public life, the market place, the Ancient government buildings, the Basilicas and Temples. We will walk through the Arch of Titus, reach the Basilica of Maxensius, the Temple of Caesar, the Temple of Vesta and lots of other buildings reminding us of the great Roman Empire.

Lunch time: Relax and enjoy a typical Roman meal.

Would you like to have it reserved? Do not hesitate to ask and we will book it for you!

After lunch transfer to Vatican city with your guide and start the visit of the vast collection of private artwork that is the Vatican Museums.

The Vatican Museums can be overwhelming, with nine miles of art, sculpture, tapestries, maps and relics contained within, not to mention Michelangelo’s frescos in the Sistine Chapel. We’ve chosen the best for your three-hour visit, giving you a broad view of the collection as well as its most famous works.

Walk through the Gallery of the Maps and Gallery of Tapestries. Gaze at artifacts such as timeworn yet fascinating Italian maps and admire the sculptures and candelabras of the Gallery of Candelabras. Stop for photos in front of the Pigna statue in the Pinecone Courtyard.

Pass through Raphael’s Rooms, a series of galleries that highlight the talent of the artist himself and step inside the Sistine Chapel.

Stand beneath Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam and admire The Last Judgement, his colourful mural that adorns a wall, continue to St Peter’s Basilica, the symbolic heart of the Catholic church. Learn about its history and see more Vatican art including Michelangelo’s La Pietà and Bernini’s Baldacchino.

The tour will conclude with the embrace of the immense colonnades of the square and the view of Pope’s Balcony.
